This Privacy Policy explains how Kareem Design Studio ("Kareem Design", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares, retains and protects information when you use the Kareem Design mobile application and related services (together, the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account and identity information: name, email address, username, phone number (if you provide it), profile photograph, authentication identifiers and account status.
- Community content: comments, replies, likes, reports and other content or interactions you submit.
- Files and images: photographs you choose when updating your profile or using an upload feature. We do not access photos you do not select.
- Inquiries: information included in quote requests, service requests, WhatsApp or other communications you initiate.
- Technical and security information: IP address, device and app information, session information, timestamps, error details and security events needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the Service.
2. Google sign-in and Clerk authentication
If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the basic account information you authorize, such as your name, email address and profile image. We use Clerk as our authentication and user-management provider. Clerk may process authentication data, session tokens, names, usernames, email addresses, phone numbers and profile images on our behalf. Your use of Google and Clerk is also subject to their respective privacy notices.
We never receive your Google password.
3. How we use information
- create, authenticate and maintain your account;
- let you choose a unique username and manage your profile;
- display and operate comments, replies, likes and activity history;
- provide projects, studio updates, services and customer-support features;
- process inquiries and respond to requests;
- moderate abuse, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud and protect users;
- diagnose errors, maintain security and improve the Service; and
- meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. When information is visible
Your username, profile picture, comments, replies and related interactions may be visible to other users. Your email address and phone number are not intended to be displayed publicly unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise or you choose to publish them in your content.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:
- Service providers that supply authentication, hosting, databases, storage, security, analytics or customer support, including Clerk and Google;
- Authorities or other parties where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and security; and
- A successor organization if the Service is involved in a merger, acquisition or transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention
We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and comply with law. Backups may retain deleted information for a limited period before being overwritten. Where retention is legally or operationally necessary, we may keep a limited record and restrict its use.
7. Your choices and rights
You may update available profile information in the app. You may request access, correction or deletion by contacting us. You can also delete your own comments where that option is available. Requests may require identity verification.
To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, visit our Account Deletion page or email kareemdesigns55@gmail.com. We will also request deletion from relevant processors where required. Content may be retained only where legally required or necessary for security, fraud prevention or dispute resolution.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated sessions and access controls. No internet or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International processing
Our service providers may process information outside Tanzania. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for such processing.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
11. External services and links
The app may open WhatsApp, Instagram, telephone services or third-party websites. Their data practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice where required.
